Craft Alliance is a non-profit visual arts center dedicated to excellence in arts education and reaching a diverse public through studio classes, outreach programming and exhibitions of fine art in the craft media.

Craft Alliance has a full-time staff of 12 and a part-time staff of 45, mostly faculty. The annual budget is $1.9 million. Craft Alliance is located in the Delmar Loop near Washington University in Saint Louis, with a second location to open in Grand Center in 2008. GALLERY SALES ASSOCIATE
The Gallery Sales Associate assists customers with purchases, provides customer services such as shipping and gift wrap, assists with annual inventory, acts as a docent for exhibitions and assists with special events in the gallery. This position’s goal is to create a lasting and pleasant relationship with Craft Alliance customers. This is a part-time or seasonal position. MUST BE AVAILABLE WEEKENDS.

The successful candidate will have:

• Previous sales experience
• Gallery experience preferred
• Strong oral communication skills
• Basic computer skills
• Knowledge of contemporary art preferred
• Prepared to work evenings and weekends
